The three hats are expressions of patterns in situations of social panic that I observed in myself when confronted with unknown situation. They represent internal barriers of communication and exchange. In order to showcase this barrier in front of a persons face I built a half transparent tent hat, a cube out of foam and found a hockey mask. The different permeability of the material correspond with the veil of fears, intent and excuses. In addition to the costume sculpture performers took the hats from their racks and positioned them and their awkwardness in the public and social space.
