The science fiction theater play Zynolite combines a personal experience of the playwright and director with a first-contact story. A group of gentle aliens land for the first time on a planet unknown to them. They are disturbed by the investigations of Zynolite, an eremitic scientist. Quickly he loses his scientific distance and feels attracted to one of the aliens. He separates it violently from the group, but it cannot survive without its social organism. The altar-like final image is the result of a melancholic funeral scene.

The lighting mood was created in the course of rehearsals to match the music composed by Joscha Bauer. Stage design, props and costumes are kept in white. The color of the entire stage therefore changes according to the music and the impulses of the actors. The utopia of a community that pays close attention to the expressions of its members and reacts supportively, was represented by the aliens in the play.
The props were created by trying to transform laboratory equipment and experimental setups into model-like apparatuses for the Aliens. Materials that are are inorganic and reflect light well were chosen.
