Video Tutorial with Lucine Moschref

Two materials form the basis of this installation: The individual, antistatic clouds of microbes that do not only surround (human) bodies, but also constitute and expand them. Mud is an uncertain materiality as well. Origin, use and ingredients are not feasible at first sight and remain murky as long as no context is given. Topsoil, purchased via ebay, forms the basic material for the exhibited mud. In a tub visitors searched for eggs and thus came into contact with the soil microbes. The eggs contain informational texts that highlight the microbiological life in the sludge, which now stuck to the fingers of the readers. In adittion a mud monster costume made of neoprene could be worn during the experince.
